It has since become a town with a diverse population of people in just about every profession from high-tech to construction, military, police, and firefighters. Real Estate in Ramona, CA
Things you should know if you are buying a house. Ramona is a popular neighborhood for first-time buyers. You get way more for your money than just about anywhere that is within an hour of downtown San Diego. Numerous types of dwellings are available, from condos and townhouses to single-family homes with big yards, even huge houses or horse ranches. You get so much more for your money in Ramona than neighboring communities while still staying close to the city. It is a fantastic place to raise children.
While Ramona does get a bit warmer in the summer and colder in the winter than areas “down the hill”, it does not experience May Gray or June Gloom like the coastal regions of San Diego. The endless sunshine makes it a perfect place to grow your own vegetables or even grapes. What used to be the turkey capital of the country is quickly becoming San Diego’s wine region.
Whether you choose the more rural areas of Ramona where you can have farm animals or the planned golf course communities like the San Diego Country Estate and Mount Woodson, there is a house for almost every lifestyle and budget. The schools are very good, there is a low crime rate, and you are relatively close to shopping in Escondido, Poway, or Santee.
